Sometimes, one in 5, I can get audio for about a week then the whole try 4 more times thing again. Maxx Audio never worked, never got a popup. Headphone jack does not work, usb interfaces do not work, uninstalling and reinstalling Realtek does not work. I have bought workarounds, tried usb audio interface, docks, new headset. It’s only the headphones that are having this issue.ĥ years of uninstalling and reinstalling Realtek on my P75f. The built in speakers (showing as “Speakers (Realtek(R) Audio”) work just fine all the time. If there’s anymore info you need from me I’m more than happy to share, I just want to get my headphone audio back. Other weird anomalies like the audio troubleshooter saying the headphone port is on the left when it’s very clearly on the right make this whole problem very confusing. Yesterday I contacted windows support, to which they guided me through an in-place update of my OS and reinstalling the Realtek driver- and it worked just fine last night, but this morning its doing the exact same thing. Sometimes it doesn’t even work upon restarting anyways. The headphone audio works just fine whenever I restart my computer, but as soon as it goes to sleep, its unplugged and plugged back in, or any minor disturbance to the headphones happens, the output device disappears entirely and any and all headphones are unusable until I restart again. I regularly use wired headphones (Beyerdynamics 770s in the dorm and some old apple headphone jack earbuds for on the go), which shows up in output devices as “Headphones (Realtek(R) Audio)”.
