But I don't really use these kinds of effects all that often, and when I do Ableton Live has a version of all of them that gets the job done. For less than the Soundtoys bundle costs, you can probably use a mix of the plugins included in your DAW, which are just as good in many cases, plus buy a select few other plugins from any different manufacturers to augment it with based on exactly what you want.įor example, for effects like filter, tremolo, flanger, phaser, the Soundtoys versions are good and all and they provide lots of in-depth controls. However these days, there are tons of options out there to choose from. I think part of it is they've been around a long time, and always treated their customers well, made quality products, and have an annual sale with really good upgrade pricing that is fun to look forward to. This may be a *very* unpopular opinion, because I know everyone loves Soundtoys.
